Sale and Reviews - Alexa Reed Series

Review of Stay:  If I could give 6 out of 5 stars, I would. I can start this review with one word - 3 syllables - A - MA - ZING!!! This was such a great book! Although I'm not usually a fan of books that don't completely wrap up the story at the end, there was enough of a finish that I was okay.

In the world of Alexa Reed, there is plenty of pain and suffering. More than one person should have to deal with in one lifetime. And having to deal with that pain and suffering has become a daily ordeal for Lexie. Up until this point, she has had her friends to lean on. One of her closest friends, Luke, has been there for her the past year while she has dealt with everything. Everyone feels it is time for Lexie to get back to the business of living life and going out. She goes out with the girls one night and runs in to hot Latino hotel and club owner Julian Bauer. Thus begins a tumultuous relationship. Julian is never deterred by Alexa and all of her craziness, he stays when the going gets tough. Not only does he stay, he pushes through and talks her through the hard times to get to the bottom of what is bothering her. He wants to know about her, and cares about her. He proves what true love is all about and shows how a true man should act - both in and out of the bedroom.

The reader finds them self pulling for Lexie to make it through and share her full story with Julian. You find yourself wanting the best for them, and that means them making it in the end, because they are what is best for each other. Hilary Wynne does an amazing job of drawing the reader in from the beginning of the story and keeping you there. There is never a dull moment and you never find yourself wanting to skip a section or wanting to skip ahead. She does a great job of keeping you enthralled and involved in the story line and wanting to find out what happens next.

Review of Hold On:  Once again, Hilary Wynne has managed to draw us in to the world of Alexa Reed and Julian Bauer. Hold On picks up where Book 1 - Stay, leaves off. Everything seems to be just fine for the couple, good even. Until something throws them off kilter. Things start to spiral out of control. Then, you have to ask yourself, is love really enough?

Hilary Wynne draws you in in Stay and keeps you there for Hold On. You fall in

love with the characters from page one in book one, and only want the best for them. Your heart breaks for them, soars with them. You ride the gamut of emotions throughout Hold On, you could only imagine how Alexa would feel going through all of what she does. You feel so raw at some points that you actually have to put the book down and come back later - which isn't always a bad
thing. There is a lot of honesty in this book, which is also what Lexie needs. Wynne does an amazing job of drawing the reader in and keeping you with the story and not letting you go. The story of Alexa and Julian, however, isn't over. Their story doesn't wrap up neatly and fit into the typical love story box. Like life, their story goes on and has so much more to it.

The reader can so easily become part of the story and lose them self in the story line. Aside from Julian being a successful rich man (which isn't made that much of a big deal) this story line could actually happen to anyone - which makes it that much more believable.

Review of Promise Me:  This is book 3 in a 3 book series. After reading the first 2 books, I was so excited to get my hands on this one!! I read it in 3 days - I just couldn't put it

down!!

We are back to the story of Alexa Reed and Julian Bauer. They are back together and all is fine - or is it? Lexie still has a secret that she has to tell Julian about. Then she has the dilemma - to tell him or not to tell him. It is tearing her up inside not to tell him, but she knows that she will lose him forever if she does tell him. Needless to say, their relationship can't continue as it is until she says something.

Promise Me is a perfect example of how to finish a story, wrap up all the lose ends of the storyline, and take you on an emotional ride all at the same time. I can honestly say that I laughed and I cried throughout this book. Hilary Wynne was able to evoke so many emotions and keep me so involved in this book that I just kept on reading to see what was happening next!

My favorite scene would have to be when Julian is by Lexie's side at the hospital, yet allows her to be strong for her family. We are able to see Lexie's inner strength come through, even though we know she needs the strength of Julian by her side. I won't go into too much more detail because I don't want to give away too much of the story, but this scene was definitely in the top 5 for this book!

One word can be used to sum up this book for the series: EPIC! Well done Hilary Wynne! You have truly outdone yourself with this one!

Author Info:

Have you ever woken up one day and said, "Today's the day I'm going to do (insert thing here)?"

Well, I did, and the result is my first novel, Stay.  I always thought of myself as a decent writer, and then a trip down memory lane through my ninth grade book of poetry confirmed it.  I realize that I have always had a romantic side and a way with words. With support from my husband and kids (and an unspoken agreement to leave me alone for a few hours every night), I embarked on this incredible

writing journey.

I'm originally from sunny Southern California and spent my summers in South Florida. I attended college at FSU and received my Masters in New Mexico. I finally settled in the Washington, DC area. My happy place has always been anywhere near the water.

When I'm not writing, I help run a business with my husband, watch an inordinate amount of sports (my kids play something 365 days a year), indulge my competitive spirit on the tennis court, and spend time with my awesome family and friends.

I am an avid reader, but find my characters feel neglected when I hang out with other author's characters for too long. When I do read, historical fiction is my favorite genre. I love traveling and experiencing different cultures, places, and times.

I feel so blessed that my love of books inspired me to finally do something that I forgot I had always dreamed about doing.

My someday has arrived!
