Book Review - Heart of Light

5 out of 5 Stars
Heart of Light
by T.K. Leigh

Note: I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Jolene hasn't been granted the best of lives. But, she has an opportunity to make a new start, in a new city, with a new job, with new friends. However, like is always the case, old secrets just can't stay hidden.

T.K. Leigh does an amazing job of writing from the heart to get to your heart. She rips your heart out to tell a story that needs to be told, to expose a hidden truth of an American secret.  Human trafficking isn't something that many want to talk about, if they've even heard of it.  And they definitely don't think it happens here.  Leigh makes us all aware while writing a story about second chances and about chances for love.

Cameron thought he had his chance with Olivia before she gave her heart away to the infamous Mr. B.  This is his chance.  He instantly sees the signs of human trafficking and does what he can to help out.  But, is it enough to help Jolene out?

I was instantly caught up in the story.  Like the three previous books by Leigh that I have read, I was mesmerized by the story and wanted to see how all got out in the end.  There were a few places that I was just shocked at how it was written, but it made the book that much better.  And I don't mean because of quality - I mean because of story line.  But, the truth of the matter is, not everything works out in the end and it's about time an author wrote that into her stories.

Well done T.K. Leigh on a well written book that keeps you on the edge of your seat and has something for everyone.  It is a love story, a suspenseful story, and a story that you can't wait to get involved in!
