The Seduction - A Review

***BOOK REVIEW***

The SeductionBy Carly Phillips

5 out of 5 stars!!!

I was given an ARC of The Seduction in exchange for an honest review. When I was given this novella, I had no background of the story so I didn't know what to expect. But, I was so pleasantly surprised. I couldn't put it down!

Unlike so many stories these days, the characters were so relatable that you are immediately taken right into the story. Everyone knows someone's, or is that someone, who is the black sheep of the family and doesn't quite fit in. They are trying to make it on their own and struggling just a little. Along comes a dark and mysterious man to sweep her off her feet - what every girl wants. It is a simple love story with so any more complex problems.

Chloe Reynolds is a girl pretty much on her own - not completely because things she had done, but because her parents didn't really understand what it meant to be parents.  Her only friend, a previous crush, is her next door neighbor Sean.  He is the only person she can really rely on.  She has a job at The Tavern to help out, and to help pass the time.  A mysterious man starts to show up, yet he never sits in Chloe's section, so he can't be interested in her, right?  Or can he?  When Chloe needs a knight in shining armor one night, the mysterious man is there for her and then things start to heat up.  As the story progresses, we start to learn that the mystery man - Zach - isn't exactly what/who he says he is.  There is more to him than originally thought.

Carly Phillips has an amazing way of drawing the reader into the story and involving you in the story.  You want to know what happens next and how everything is resolved.  It is a fast moving story even though it covers a time span of a few months.  You quickly become emotionally involved in the story and feel for Chloe.    I would suggest this to anyone who wants a quick read while by the pool or curled up on the couch on a rainy day.  Enjoy!  :)
